Celebrate the holiday season by attending Downtown Summerlin’s hallmark holiday parade! Inspired by traditional holiday themes that are universally recognizable, this family-friendly spectacle is one you won’t want to miss. This year’s production features enhanced floats and a brand new Charlie Brown inspired float!
The cast is comprised of local kids from various schools including Palo Verde High School, Faith Lutheran, Las Vegas Academy of the Arts and UNLV. Over 100 people auditioned for the parade at 45 were cast. The talented group participates in various competition dance teams, community theatre productions and ballet companies. Cast members range in age from 9 to 19 years old. Come out and support this local production!
The parade runs Fridays and Saturdays at 6 p.m. from Nov. 15 – Dec. 21. All shows are free and open to the general public. Festivities take place on Park Centre Drive.
Also opening on November 15 is the highly-anticipated return of Santa Claus’ Chalet, presented by Pardee Homes, through Dec. 24. Located in Macy’s Promenade, the Chalet features a festive environment for children and adults, alike, to whisper their holiday wishes to Santa. Photo packages start at $29.99. Santa offers photos with pets on Tuesdays through Dec. 17 between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Rock Rink, presented by Jing restaurant, is the premier ice skating rink located on The Lawn. Come and skate with us Nov. 15 – Jan. 20. Hours vary. Skate rentals start at $15, and all ages are welcome.
